Heatons Open Gardens Day All the profit from this year’s event will be used to support the following local charitable causes:

Alex Hulme Foundation

Donations made to the Alex Hulme Foundation will be helping towards improving the research into and the treatment of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in children and thus providing diagnosed children with a better prognosis for their future.

Rotary Causes

The Rotary Club of Stockport Lamplighter (reg charity no 1076837) supports many smaller organisations and causes in the Stockport area. This year, amongst many other things, we have organised a Carol Concert for the elderly, have supported the young people of the Princes Trust, and been involved in the Dementia Cafe in Heaton Moor. We have also organised a Speaking competitions for pupils of local junior schools and provided a day out at Petty Pool outdoor centre for a local school.

Our fundraising efforts, as well as this event, include the annual Swimathon Challenge and the Christmas Float collection in December.

Kidneys for Life

Kidneys for Life was set up in 1976 for the benefit of renal patients at Manchester Royal Infirmary and in recent years with Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and outlying satellite dialysis units. From 2016 Kidneys for Life are pleased to be also working with Salford Royal Infirmary to support renal patients, both adults and children, in the Greater Manchester area.
